Hi Guys,

My wife and I both live in Thailand, I have a retirement visa. My wife is Thai and holds dual nationality and has two passports.

We have recently heard from a friend of hers, who also has dual passports, that the UK has recently introduced a new ruling that dual passport holders have to travel back to the UK within a 2 year period therefore showing an entry stamp or the passport will be revoked. As we are not frequent travellers back to blighty this got me thinking.

Does anybody have news of this or is it a load of bull we are being fed?

load of bull.

once you are a citizen, that is it. You are a citizen for life. The day you get it, you can leave the UK, never come back, and you'll stilll be a citizen.

The only way they can take it away is if it is proven that you obtained citizenship under false pretenses.
