Another Uk Visitor Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anybody got any views or experiance of applying for further visitor visas.

My girlfriend has recieved two, first in april 2008 the second april 2009 staying a total of 5 and 5 1/2 months respectivley.

This year she is looking at applying once more this time to visit in oct/nov and return feb 2011. How many v/v can one apply for before they may find grounds for refusal. We may well marry as things are going well but i dont want to rush or be pressured into marrying.

Any Thoughts

Theoretically, as long as you comply with the terms of any visa given and each time you apply your circumstances meet the required standard, then you should be ok to get one every year. Of course this is a bit of a daft thing to do and so you should actually think about applying for a longer term visit visa, i.e. 5 or 10 year visit visa. These have the same stipulation that no more than 6 out of every 12 months in total can be in the UK, but it means that you don't have to keep applying every year. If I were you I would get one more 6 month visa and if that is granted, next time apply for a 5 year one.
