Bangkokair - Samui / Trat Route

Featured Replies

On the flights route map on BangkokAir's site, one of the routes shown is the route Samui-Trat, but when you go to book the flights, this route is not available..Just want to know whether BangkokAir has started operating on the route Samui-Trat and vice versa? If no, when will this route be operating?

Q1: No

Q2: not in the near future

PG considered that route, but has no idea if and when they gonna operate it.

on their website, the route Samui-Trat-Samui is described as "Future Route", whatever this means.....

(I think, this is shown since Trat was opened a few years before)

Thanks a lot for your comments guys...will have to fly to BKK from Samui and go to Trat using a connection flight from BKK.

thanks...

Probably quicker and definately cheaper to fly Samui to Utapao and get a bus from there to Trat.

We were considering the option Samui-Utapao but due to limited overland connections from Utapao to Trat we decided to fly instead. In fact yesterday we booked the flights from Samui-BKK and BKK-Trat...we then plan to head to Pattaya via a Minivan most prob (but surely not via a flight) on our way back from Trat and make 3 nights in Pattaya-then finish up our holiday in BKK :) .Your option was definitely cheaper becasue the flight from Samui to BKK was a little bit expensive. We paid over BHT3000 each for that flight whilst to BKK-Trat we paid around BHT1580 each with Bangkok Airways. About being quicker, I have a big doubt about that because in 4 hrs time from our departure from Samui we will be in Trat. So that's not bad considering we have to catch 2 flights.

Thanks a lot for your replies guys...you've been very helpful.. take care

we'll give it a try HL!...i'm afraid when you arrive in Koh Chang, you'll find me sitting on a chair with my sunglasses and a cocktail in my hand relaxing just in the middle of a sandy beach in Koh Chang!! :)

thanks a lot for your replies HL

Well I am visiting Samui next week and flying back to Utapao on the sunday, and although I am not driving to Trat, if I remember to, I will measure on the map and see the time it takes me to cover the same distance while travelling north to Korat.

Just for interest sake but I'll probabaly have forgotten by then....lol

Have a good trip.
