bkkc1976 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Hello. I want to leave my dog in a boarding kennel for a few days and wanted to take him with me up to chiang mai and board him there. But i saw an advertisement for dog boarding here in bangkok, did anybody use them already and do they really charge 550 baht per day? I wrote them an email last week, but no response. Not a good first impression!! So,anybody knows something about them? Thank you in advance. regards

londonthai Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 my brother in law is in bangkok and does take care of my 2 dogs when I am abroad, and frequently takes a good care of my guest pets. He is retired and home all the time, playing with pets and taking them for walks along canals. If anybody needs help anytime, even for one or two nights, he really appreciates any additional income to his petite pension. he charges 250baht/day for dogs and 200 for cats. They will have the whole room in the house for them, care and human company. There is a garden as well. the problem he is in the west bangkok (on the other side of the river), just by the outer western ring road, in taling chan. 1
robhodge100 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I tried recently the facilty spoken of above in rangsit. i was hugely disappointed with what i found. if your dog has energy and is not the sort that fits in your handbag then i would say the exercise facility is dangerous, next to a 6 lane highway and with a 3 ft fence! it struck me as worrying to say the least. an energetic 1 year old that spots a cat would scale that fence without even thinking about it. it begs the question of how much time and thought actually went into building this place. further to that i was informed that if a dog arrives and 1 tick is found that the dog will not be welcome under any circumstances..(interesting if an entire holiday or business trip could have to be cancelled) anyway for the sake of cleanliness there is nothing wrong with that i guess but as i was leaving an existing customer walked in and complained that after picking up their dog from their last visit so many ticks were found and even crawling on the children in the car on the way home that the dog had to have its hair shaved off.. again excessive but it was all too much to take in when all i needed was a safe place for my dogs to stay for 2 nights. any other suggestions?
Kilgore Trout Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Oh, I thought you were referring to this kind of dogboarding

londonthai Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 yes, he is still taking care of dogs, still 250b/night, includes short walks. Food on top of it (the best, if you bring your own food, so less stress for dog), also extra for shower, grooming, nail clipping, pick up from your home - if required. my family has as well 2 houses to rent (animals allowed), minimum 1 week stay - that's when you are visiting bangkok
