When your wife renews her passport it will be evident that her Australian visa is based on marriage to you and they will most likely change her name.

You are only permitted to bring goods to to Thailand if you posses an extended one year stay visa ...that is a full year stay. You won't be able to comply with that rule.

Try to get a multiple entry business visa ...Brisbane Adelaide and Perth are the only Thai Consulates that will issue multi's.

If you don't have much money you won't convince immigration that you have funds sufficient to take care of your Thai wife. Thus that avenue will elude you too.
