Can Electrical Items Bought In Thailand Be Used In Malaysia ?

Featured Replies

Beside the different plug point design, is there any difference in voltage, power etc ?

Can I use it in Malaysia ? Has anyone tried ?

Malaysia is 220V 50Hz same as Thailand, you'll need a plug adaptor to the BS 1363 style outlet used there (they actually have them in Homepro).

If you intend using kit long-term you should replace the plug with the correct one and ensure the correct fuse is installed in said plug.

Otherwise, no problem :)

Thank you but i am poor in electriical knowledge.

Does it mean beside the plug adapter, I still need to change or do something to the fuse and plug if I buy something from Thailand to use in Malaysia ?
