buadhai
I've touted the advantages of Bank of Internet here in the past. One of their services is to reimburse ATM charges levied by other banks up to US$8.00 per month. I recently had a look at my statement and notice that BofI was reimbursing me for surcharges levied by Bangkok Bank. Well, it seems to me that Bangkok Bank doesn't charge any fees for a withdrawal made using a foreign ATM card. On May 6th I withdrew 11,000 baht. My bank charged me US$278.98, for an effective exchange rate of 39.43 baht per US dollar. But, they also gave me a surcharge refund of $3.98, making the effective exchange rate 40 baht to the dollar. That seems pretty ###### good for an ATM transaction.... I wonder what my bank thinks they're doing? Don't worry, I ain't complainin'....
