February 9, 201016 yr How do you read the vehicle age/first registration from a Thai number plate ? I assume it is linked to the 2 Thai consonants at the beginning of the plate ! details on this would be great, site search & google have not come up trumps.

February 9, 201016 yr Author not possible to read vehicle age or time for reg in numberplate.any vehicle can change numberplate at any time I realized plates are changed for new owners in different provinces ect but assumed any relevant plate data on vehicle age/registration would be retained.
February 10, 201016 yr Not indicated on any plate, the date of registration is in the blue book BUT BEWARE the date of registration can lag a year or more from the 'on the road' date - ever wonder why new car owners like to keep the car running on red/black plates for so long? Look at the engine bay tags or talk to the dealer. It is the ONLY way to be sure.
