Quality Ups Backup System Needed

I was wondering if anyone knew of a reseller of quality UPS systems in Thailand. I need something beefy that can handle

5 computers and monitors for about 30min. Any help would be appreciated, I can't get to Pantip Plaza easily, I don't live

in BKK.

They are invadeIT has them... it isnt cheap and its not sure that half an hour will be do able.. I was looking at it for the poster but it would mean having multiple real expensive UPS's we are taling up to 20.000 bt a piece.

But with APC your sure to have quality.

DONT buy Syndome,they are rubbish,I bought 1 and after 1 day took it back as a power cut would shut it off,the shop said thats the 3rd one back in a matter of days.

I ended up with a PCM unit,2 batteries and digital readout,expensive but holds up a high end computer and a 32 inch Samsung monitor for ages and has never failed.

I would suggest 3 APC BACK-UPS RS 1500VA

or 2 APC BACK-UPS RS 1500VA and one RS 1000

is what you need for 30mins of back up

Assuming your desktop with monitor uses about 200 watts max, 2 setup would last you at least 30 mins on a 1000va

Just to be over the top, I recommed 1500va.

Unless your running some highend desktop with multiple harddrives and other accessory you may want to go with a higher VA ups. ex. 2200

Currrently I have rs 1000 that is supporting 2 desktop and during power outage I can last aobut 40mins.

Don't buy the APC ES525 Universal as they are totally rubbish.

I bought 4 of them and all 4 broke down within the year.

All 4 repaired with the same result.

My friend at the shop who is well informed told me that these series is indeed very bad.

Other APC UPC's can be good as APC in general is a very good UPC brand.

This is the set up that I have with a 150A/H battery.

Designed to keep my AV/TV system running for 4 hours.

You will need around 1.5 - 2KVA for the UPS and a battery capable of giving

170 amps for 30 minutes.

It will probably need to be 2 x 12V batteries or even 24V to deliver that current.

It will not be a cheap set up.

Make sure the unit is a UPS, not APS. The APS does not switch quick enough.

Also the battery(ies) will have a limited life 1-2 years as they are providing

current to the computers full time, and being kept fully charged by the UPS.
