What Should The Thai Government Do With Billions 46?

Featured Replies

The Thai government is now billions 46 richer.

It is not much on a country level but well, it could help a few projects.

What should they do with it?

My vote goes to a high speed train to the North East :)

Give it back to Khun T! :)

That would clean up Pattaya

buy more GT200...

They should use it to develop the poorer regions of the country.. Education, business & industry development.

This being Thialand however, and this being as corrupt a government as any, I guess there are many parties lining up at the trough. :) Might be epic.

Pay for the next election like always so send it up north to get the vote and gain parliment till the next crook is found

Education,

Indeed, the key for developing a country.

But I guess the high speed train is more likely than schools.

In the next century.

And anyway, I hope the Thai government will give us a follow-up on where they're going to use it... :)

^sure it will line someones pockets and nothing more which is usually the case. :)

Bullet train to Nong Khai

Did I say bullet train to Mukdahan? :):D

That would clean up Pattaya
Dream on, it would take that much, just to sort the stinking drain's up.

Do you guys think they will contribute the seized fund to the society? I don't think so. Probably goes to the pocket of some greedy officers.

This is the goal of this thread.

What should/will they do with the money?

Even if it is very likely they won't follow our advice.

Too many sticky hands, I think.

But anyway, if you do not give any advice, they sure won't follow it... :)

Use it to repay the taxpayers and then fund an all out legal effort to prosecute those people who authorized the spending 1.4 million each for the GT-200 plastic children's toys.

We successfully prosecuted one scumbag. Let's not stop there. Many more to go.

Buy Portsmouth FC

Buy Portsmouth FC

OK.

So what would you do with the 46 Billion change?

buy more GT200...

Don’t waste your breath. The money is already gone and used for party :)

what a joke, lots of orders for high end cars have already been made, that's my guess. This will just line the pockets of people who don't need it.

Flood control in Bangkok

Sky Train extension

but TIT

A comprehensive awareness programme in every province to teach locals that smothering a freshly baked pizza with 3 sachets of tomato ketchup is just plain wrong. I don't know why folks like Pizza Company offer so many toppings. They might as well just make one called the "Tomato Sauce Supreme With Extra Tomato Sauce"

Give it to me :)

Buy USTs....

Buy a battery for the tsunami warning system.

book tickets in first class with emirates airline, a fortnights stay on the top floor at the al jemirah. oh and while their, say thankyou to thaksin for the holiday.

It might be appropriate to fund some project which benefits long-term the whole of Thailand, not just Bangkok, or any one region ?

My own ideas :-

1. Dams, irrigation-projects & flood-control.

2. Road-improvements with tarmac more than 1"-thick

3. Improving electricity-supplies to rural areas.

4. Re-build the whole of the SRT rail-system, not high-speed or elevated, just fit to last for another century

5. Establish a fund to assist with university-fees/living-costs for bright students from poorer families

6. Fund and equip the hospital-system properly

7. then blow the rest on one giant piss-up ! :D :D :)
