Report Bangkok Senator Accused of Attempted Rape by Ex-News Anchor
Photo via Facebook/ Kwan Natthasinee Pinyopiyavid In a developing controversy, former news anchor Natthasinee “Kwan” Pinyopiyavid has accused a Thai senator of attempted rape, allegedly occurring at a condominium in Bangkok's Bang Sue area. Natthasinee, who also worked as an advisor to a Senate subcommittee, has taken to social media to announce a press conference at Parliament today, July 8, to discuss the allegations. She has already filed a complaint at Tao Poon Police Station, bringing the matter into the public eye. According to Natthasinee, she first met the senator in September 2024 when they started communicating frequently in a professional context, with no romantic involvement. Events allegedly escalated after a simple birthday message from Natthasinee on July 5 via LINE, which led to an invitation from the senator for dinner at a restaurant on Banthat Thong Road. After the meal, Natthasinee reportedly asked the senator to drive her home. The situation took a disturbing turn when the senator allegedly restrained Natthasinee in his car, proposing sexual advances. Despite her clear refusals, he purportedly drove her against her will to his condominium in Bang Sue. Inside the apartment, Natthasinee claims the senator forced her into his unit, continued his unwelcome advances, and engaged in inappropriate touching. Her insistence and emotional pleas eventually led him to relent and drive her home. In the aftermath, the senator allegedly made attempts to resolve the incident privately after learning of the police complaint, but Natthasinee rejected any settlement and is committed to pursuing full legal action. She disclosed that the distress has left her with a panic attack and a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The senator, a former leader of a business operators’ association in an eastern Thai province, is expected to hold his own press conference today to respond to these serious accusations. As the story unfolds, the public and media eagerly await further developments, with the potential legal and political repercussions hanging in the balance. The case raises significant questions about accountability and the treatment of women in professional spaces, resonating deeply in the context of ongoing discussions about gender and power dynamics in Thailand. With public interest high, the ensuing investigations and outcomes will likely draw considerable scrutiny. Adapted by ASEAN Now from The Thaiger 2025-07-08 -

800K Into bank account
Have never read of that requirement. The 12 month bank statement is valid for 7 days as is the bank Letter and an added statement to cover the few days should not be required. At CW I obtain the 12 month bank statement few days prior to application. On day of application update bank book and make small deposit to show activity. -

Report Cannabis Advocates Warn of Economic Damage from Policy Shift
Yes, and it will drive everything underground, so instead of regulating it and gathering taxes from it, the industry will be run by what the government will consider criminals... criminals who, in reality, were forced to choose that life after the betrayal. There is only so much struggle entrepreneurs can handle. One day they're legit and they next they're criminals. 😵💫🤦 -
