Thai Army On Stand-by For Bangkok To Prevent Further Bombings In The Capital

The Thaksin friendlies formed a coalition government in that election, but then most of them were banned. So the party that the second most people voted for formed a new coalition government.

(a) No, it was PPP + declared Thaksin opponents(!) that formed the coalition.

(:) Banning the PPP executive did not eliminate most of the PPP MPs, let alone most of the old coalition MPs. By-elections largely resulted in banned MPs being replaced by MPs of the same party (equating PTP and PPP), but there was enough of

a swing to the new coalition to suggest that it would have won an election if one had been called - assuming that things scaled. (Some of the parties were in no position to splurge on an election.)

Disbanding the whole party instead of bringing individual perpetrators to justice is a ploy by the elite to prevent the formation of mature political parties capable of expressing effective opposition to them.

Actually, dissolving parties seems to be quite ineffective. Those with any strength just re-form - TRT > PPP > PTP, Chart Thai > Chart Thai Pattana.

Scary guy, whoever he is. :)

Apparently a friend of Thaksin?

Or a guy that "looks like", or "is doctored to look like Pornwat" said bomb attacks and unrest would take place...

Please don't jump down my throat. I am not defending anybody but I won't condemn somebody based on a low-quality clearly doctored video.

This amazing country is being held to ransom and brought to its knees by one person. How very sad.

I agree with your statement, but not with the person concerned.

Oh no you di'int.

I do hope you aren't talking about Thai Elvis!
