Airfare From Thailand?

Featured Replies

Is there any easy way to compare both domestic and international flights? I have been looking for some sort of system like expedia.com, travelocity.com, or orbitz.com but it doesn't seem to exist. Those sites only work for flights that originate inside the USA.

More specifically, I am trying to find the best route / airfare to New Delhi but I am sure I will want to use a system like this for other future trips as well.

Currently, as far as I know, you have to figure out which airlines go to the destination you are looking for and then go to each of their individual websites... VERY annoying and time consuming!!

Any ideas?

Wouldn't that be like comparing Apples & Oranges?

I just tried your search on www.travel.yahoo.com, also tried several other non US starting points and destinations... all worked fine.

They link to travelocity for the actual search. Give it a try.

Hope this helps! :o

I didn't mean Domestic vs. International. I meant compare domestic flights whenever I want to take a local flight or compare International flights when I am going abroad. Sorry... I just meant that I was looking for one general system that could compare whatever it was I was looking for.

I'll give that a try... Thanks!

RamshakleZ: May I suggest you use Amadeus. It's what the majority of travel agents in the English speaking world use.

It is now available on the web so we mortals now have the same power as our travel agents.

It shows everything you need, with the exception of ticket price. I use it to plans trips overseas and it hasn't let me down yet. Once I have found the best flight times for the date I want, I go to Flight Centre's website and work out the best fare.

The Australian government introduced legislation this week to make airlines advertise their total price (what you pay for your seat) rather than just post a price with a * (plus taxes) price.

Just tried travel.yahoo.com. Yes, it works but it is not very efficient. For example, the trip from BKK - DEL it gives me a price of $757 on Thai air. This is almost TWICE as much as the same exact flight directly off of thaiair.com.

I realize that you can many times get better deals directly from the airlines but the expedia, etc. prices are never TWICE as much. (and are usually lower actually)

I won't add this to the inefficiencies of Thailand, though, because this seems to be a lacking service for all of Asia... hmm, Business Opportunity??? I'm an IT guy... anyone want to get into a possible joint venture on this? :o

I will have a look at this as well. However, if all it shows is schedules and then I still need to do the grun work to find the prices for all the schedules, then it is of no use to me. My schedules are EXTREMELY flexible so I would be researching literally every single schedule out there to see which one has the best price.

Just tried both... amadeus is helpful in determining some of the airlines that travel to my destination but not much else.

Flight Centre is of no use at all... only shows flights originating from Australia.
