They don't want to pay more than 500 baht a night tops Thanks in advance TP <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there are some shabby huts on the beach (and up the cliff) at the beginning of W/S beach - you go through RC Grande. They are run by an obnoxious drunk woman but are only a couple of hundred a night - air, hot water? You've got to be joking!!
May 20, 200521 yr Cookie Bungalows would have been a good choice . . . . if only they hadnt been bulldozed at the end of March. Low season prices are yet to officially kick in on Whitesands in quite a few (empty) resorts. Just turn up, wander around and you'll find slummy rooms for about that price - just dont expect too much for your money.
May 28, 200521 yr The best that we could find for the money with my Thai girlfriend doing the talking was Apple Resort on White Sand Beach enter through entrance to Bamboo Bungalow. 500 Baht fan room and fairly basic but place is on the beach.. (039) 5512289 or mobile 01 3740944. There are many better places but you are looking at around B1200 up for aircon and a bit more luxurious. Bamboo shack on the beach B150 per night with no facilities and enough room to lay down and a mosquito net and small veranda. Hope this is helpful Mandu
