Travel To Bkk From Cm Today. Red Shirt Traffic On Highways

Featured Replies

Anybody have a clue how long it will take to get to BKK Chatuchack leaving Chiang Mai by bus at 6,7, or 8 tonight Saturday?

Normally it takes 10 hours, but with the numerous check points and red shirt traffic it is bound to be more. Anybody know someone who went , please tell their or your exprerience. Some of my wifes family are going for vacation and it unfortunately is at the same time of this uprising.

I would rather take a train to don muang - there would be checkings, but they are done on the train, so no delays. Really its's impossible to know how the situation on the roads will develop

I really do not expect any problem but then Im' going by bus from Surin to Chiang Mai tonight. :)

Train is the best bet

Knowing the Thai's penchance to tie up traffic if could end up being hel_l on the highways

Had family travelling South to BKK and they say it was he_l South of Chai Nat with the police roadblocks and miles of cars queued up for checks.

is there not a train from bkk to cm ?

there is always space in the 3rd class.

you can ask the ticket inspector to be moved to another class, when the seat becomes available.
