tominbkk
'convert x to DVD' is one good program, will get anything ready for a DVD. Also, to convert a video file, the free 'Format Factory' is great!
ManilaLover
An AVI you must convert to DVD format before you can burn it. Best multi converter: Format Factory Best AVI to DVD burner: Movie-DVD-Maker Both 100% free and work flawless. More good options

frodo77
As explained on another thread, buy a DVD player with USB connection and play direct from the HD. Some are less than 1000 baht.
H2oDunc
As above. Big C have them and you just put your files on a USB stick and plug it in. EASY!!!!!
Digitalbanana
Seconded the last 2 posts.... why convert? This problem has been around a few yrs now, just get new hardware that can play the avi's. After one sees how long it takes to convert an avi using software to a DVD playable format you will know it makes sense.
Richb2004v2
I had this problem a while ago. I posted here and got good advice (as always). But the other day I bought a new DVD player from Tesco that plays everything. Now I just put the DVD containing the AVIs into the machine and it plays them. Or as others said I can actually plug the memory stick in and play from there. Brilliant, and only 1390 bht!
