Transport Ministry ready for mass journey during Songkran

He then stressed the necessity to put an emphasis on road safety.

Based on statistics, the implementation of measures under the year of safety policy can reduce accidents by 40-50% each day.

The ministry by the Department of Land Transport and more than 2,000 private agencies will help check car engines, free of charge in two durations.

The first free service will be from 12 March to 12 April 2010 at the Department of Land Transport and some other designated venues. Free car repairing services will also be available on major and some minor roads across the country from 24 March to 18 April 2010.

Check ENGINES!

When the brakes have failed, the steering's shed a ball joint, the bald tyres have blown, and the suspension is sagging due to 20 people crammed in the back , they are going to check the engine.

Right.

Got it.
