I found a a story on Andrew Drummonds website/blog which to myself was a rather touching story of a Thai woman who's caring for her partner who has serious health issues.

Hope AD doesn't mind me posting the link.

The reason I'm posting this link to the story is to maybe dispell some of the doubts and thoughts of people who say that Thai women are only after money.

Enjoy the read, I did and it says to me that there are some truly good Thai partners who in times of need will do all they can to care for their partners. Link below.

Could a Mod please move this topic to general. Thanks in advance.

That really does make a refreshing change.

Thank you for sharing.

I first read this on Andrew Drummond's blog. This lady deserves some serious credit, thanks, karma and blessings. If anyone know how to get a message to her, I would happily pass along some kind words.

MOD: I second the motion to move this to 'general'

Ofc most Thai women are not after your money. It is just that the kind that easily become 'attached' to a farang here often are. They are a very specific sub-group of the general population of in large decent people.

The older you get the more of the ones from this sub-group will be the first to talk to you in a bar/club/pub. Just be prepared and learn to deal with it.

I was just thinking the same.

It's not so much of a 'refreshing change' at all as Thai's in general are no more or less caring then other people across the world. Some farangs just have a habit of picking up those who don't fall into that category.
