I bought the bike new at Honda Center Patong one year ago. I payed extra for one years "regular" insurance and two years theft insurance. I just realized the "regular" one expired a week or so ago = no good. Went back to the Honda dealership. Much to my surprise the weren't able to sell me a renewal nor point me in the right direction.

- Where should I turn to get this swiftly sorted?

I did mine recently at AIG GENERAL INSURANCE (THAILAND) LIMITED, takes only few minutes. Bring your license, old insurance policy and road tax sticker:

If you go to the (private) DMV reg boys out on the back of firestation rd, they can tax and insure (cheap Thai insurance) there..

Count your fingers after shaking hands with them.
