Are The Grenades Just A Scam ?

Featured Replies

Could it be that these grenades thrown here and there are just a scam for the armed forces to skimm of millions every day?

Every time one or two of these grenades are thrown nobody is ever around and (luckily) nobody is ever hurt. Yet every grenade thrown seems to play into the hands of the security forces and they anounce more troops will be deployed.

It was reported that security forces are receiving an extra 300 Baht a head /a day on top of their regular allowance.

The two grenade explosions yesterday afternoon prompted the army to add another 13,000 troops to the force securing the capital, with another 17,000 more put on standby.

That is an additional 9 million Baht a day in taxpayers money on top of the thousands of troops already being employed.

Now here is the big question - who counts them?

I think one would notice 40.000 or so troops "securing" Bangkok the city would be absolutly swamped with soldiers not even counting the thousands of extra police that are appartently deployed - also at extra allowance.

Is this all just a scam ? Are some people skimming of millions in "extra allowance" every day for troops that are not there?

Just a thought.

You wouldn't say scam if you were close to a grenade when it went off. :)

Plus more troop is free anyways
