Tourist Visa Question While Out Of The Country

Featured Replies

If a friend of mine has a Tourist visa and X2 and has just activated the second one, then decides a few days later he needs to go to the Philippines for three weeks what happens to that tourist visa he has.

While he is away does the clock still tick in regard to the days left on it so he can come back and still carry on staying here until that second Entry expires

and/or does the visa automatically gets canceled due to his departure.

Thanks in advance.

TB

The stay ends on his exit of Thailand unless he obtain a re-entry permit from Immigration for 1,000 baht. That will keep his permitted to stay alive but he will lose any days he is not here (gets stamped for same exit date as he has now on his return).

And, when he returns to Thailand, BE SURE to write on the ARRIVAL card: "Re-Entry Permit No. xxxxxxx"

Do not write the original visa no.
