Hutch Cdma Air Cards... Any Reviews

Featured Replies

hi all

anyone got any comments on hutch cdma aircards in pattaya.....

or anything better

does anyone know when, CAT cdma will work in the middle of thailand, ( i am moving from phuket>>>) and I think I will need a new card

thanks

nick

I have had the hutch modem for a month and am happy with it. It is not lightning fast but is pretty reliable.

I have had the Hutch 'dongle' for around 4 months and I am very happy with it. I am now connected at 3.1 MBPS, so fast enough for normal use. I was told that this is a local connection, so it will not work Thailand wide.

Cheers, Rick

It will only work in Bangkok and most surrounding provinces, pretty much all of the Eastern Seaboard up to the Cambodian border and I think East of Bangkok all the way till Kanchanaburi.

However, the 3.1 Mbps will only be in Pattaya and a very few places in Bangkok, all the rest will be at 0.15 Mbps.

It will definitely not work down South in Phuket, that is CAT territory, and CAT does not have CDMA service in the places covered by Hutch.

Hutch aircards will not work on CAT!

Thanks for the details Monty.

Cheers, Rick
