george
One of our fellow members sent me this email, can we help him out? I reckon he has a local problem with his PC / browser. Any ideas. Hello there,I've been having trouble for a few weeks now with posting. When I get to your home page, the cartoon character for the forum board is not displayed. When i enter the forum, peoples' avatars are not displayed nor is the status of the thread - ie hot topic etc. Most importantly, none of the new topic or reply functions come up, so i can follow threads but not contribute. Have i been banned from posting? - I would doubt it. More likely I've hit the wrong key somewhere or there's something wrong with my computer. Can anyone help me with a solution as it's frustrating not being able to reply. Thanks in advance for your reply. By the way, my log in name is sua yai and i am logged on each time i visit the forum board.
Jai Dee
I had a similar problem recently. For me, it was all to do with the internet connection... very unstable and pages took a long time to load. If the download took too long then the page loaded with errors, but most of the icons for replying, hot topic, etc (which are the last to load) did not display. Perhaps ask the user if similar problems occur on other internet pages?
RDN
It would help to know which browser he is using. The problem appears to be with the images - buttons, avatars, etc - so it is probably a browser setting that enables/disables images from being displayed. I'll check what Firefox settings can effect that, and report back, unless someone else gets in with the answer first .
RDN
In Firefox, it's: Tools / Options / Web Features / Load Images

sua yai
Thanks everyone. Problem solved and it was as you said RDN, somehow loading images on the site through Firefox had been blocked. Unfortunately, you'll all have to put up with my drivel again!!
