Annoying Low Balance Sms's

Featured Replies

I use AIS pay as you go cell service. Whenever my credit goes below a certain level i hear a message when I call people and I get a SMS. No problem. But then the follow up SMS's begin. The intervals make no sense. Sometimes they come once per hour or less, sometimes (like right now) they come every few minutes. The most annoying thing in the world.

Any way to turn these off aside from the first message? Right now I'm at a hotel with my mother and both of our phones are going so crazy I'm about ready to walk to 7-11 in the middle of the night just to shut them up (turning them off or the sound off is not an option as we both need to be able to receive calls)

Thanks

There's one sure way to stop the messages, buy some credit you cheap arse.

Guess I walked into this troll by not addressing it in my OP...

I add 1,000 Baht at a time to avoid this - it's a matter of convenience not me being cheap. I'm not always able to dart to the store the second I get the first message. In the interim I'd like to be able to shut these messages off....

You could ring them and top it up with your credit card, or put more credit in the phone.

Maybe switch providers, I doubt it can be turned off. I get very little spam with DTAC. There is an audio message when calling if low on credit but they don't spam me with SMS. You can even borrow money from them if low on credit and you don't feel like walking to 7-11
