TAT is becoming the terrorism authority of thailnd and govt announcements and insurances will be counter productive

Giving folks 700 on arrival instead of stealing on departure would be anice welcome,removing overstay fines for first offence.Not robbing Australians killing Japanese citizens and locals on camera may help promote visitors,whereas denial makes it seem like a childish attempt to hide from reality

Reasonable priced National parks and monuments and really free visas for all may stop the rot

Of course waiving the 700 exit may just encourage folks backpacking to leave earlier

Was at Royal Thai Embassy Vienna yesterday. No free Tourist Visas! Staff said they have received no official information.

Yesterday I had to pay 28 Pounds for a 60 day Tourist Visa at the Royal Thai Consulate in London.
