Are the Trump II firings just beginning?
Trump administration displeased with special envoy Witkoff - New York Post Could he be next for the chop? Reuters has reported on Witkoff's mistakes: Witkoff invited Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev, who is under US sanctions after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, to his residence for dinner before a meeting at the White House. Republicans are unhappy that the Trump administration has turned too sharply toward Moscow as Witkoff participates in high-level meetings alone, relaying the Kremlin’s view to Trump but little on Kyiv’s views. That's left to Kellogg whose title was changed from special envoy for Ukraine and Russia to special envoy for Ukraine. The fact that Putin continues to demand four regions of Ukraine in the context of negotiations with the US and Ukraine suggests the ineffectiveness of Witkoff's efforts.
