Historians will be arguing for 50 years why half a million Ukrainians did not die on Trump's watch. Personally, I think it's because Putin couldn't predict Trump's response, so he didn't FAFO like he did for Obama and Biden, who were soooo predictable. There's something to be said for a leader looking batcrap crazy. I think historians refer to it as strategic ambiguity. In any case, I don't know (or care) WHY Putin didn't attack during Trumps term. Just THAT he didn't attack and put the world at risk of Armageddon, until predictable Joe got in. -

Yes, I've been able to use an iPhone 6 up until now - Line and Whatsapp won't work from November, although the UK HMRC app stopped working a couple of years ago due to unable to upgrade IoS. However I've just bought a ZTE A55 for 2,900 baht (actually got 25% shopee coins, so really 2,200) that does everything I need and more for a tenth of the price of an iPhone. -

What’s the best area in Thailand for expats to settle for long-term living?
Can't fault Pattaya if you want a cheap place with lots of western amenities, close to a beach. If I were a beach person, I'd be there -as places like Ko Chang or even Phuket would be too small town for me. If you're not a beach person, it's either Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Moving to a place like Khorat without a GF in tow seems like a guarantee of alcoholism Did CM for two years and found it to also be a little too small town for me. Living on soi 11 with an air purifier working full time is the happiest I've been to date. Plenty of meetups, tremendous food options, the BTS and metro are a godsend to get anywhere I'd want to go pretty fast. -

Have you even read the Agenda 2025? Do you seriously think a guy like Donald Trump would outlaw pornography? What is in the Agenda about abortion is diametrically opposed to all that Trump has ever said about his abortion policy, he couldn't even implement that if he wanted to. -

That same exception applies to both section 2.18 "family members" and section 2.22 "retirement", with the same requirements > evidence from Pension! Rightly or wrongly, Immigration make the assumption if you apply for a 1 year extension based on Thai spouse, then you must have retired or be working in Thailand. If you're young enough and not in receipt of a pension, then the assumption appears to be you have sufficient funds to deposit 400K THB in a Thai bank account. At my IO, if using the monthly overseas transfers for an extension based on either retirement or Thai spouse, they regularly request proof of being in receipt of a pension.
