Chiang Mai Immigration

I went along this morning, at 0750, to Chiang Mai immigration for 90 Day reporting - expecting many people, after the long Songkran holiday. I wan't disappointed, it was teeming.

Initially, there was chaos as the number machine had yet to be cranked up, and no Officer was present on the public side of the counter. As the numbers grew, people did not know where to sit or stand. A senior Officer appeared speaking excellent English, gave consise instructions for everyone to form an orderly queue and clearly explained the system of the number entered on the machine matched to the requirement. Shortly, a second Officer appeared and they efficiently worked through the queue distributing tickets and at 0830 - business as usual.

All credit to them.
