kevf
Any recommendations plz on golf lessons, clubs, pros and golf friendly hotels in Chiang Mai..Tks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.chiangmaiinfo.com/d/recreation_...ent/sports/golf http://www.1stopchiangmai.com/essential/golf/ Try these links to contact the various courses. Do you play golf or are you just starting, are you living in CM or going there for a holiday? Gymkhana club is an old 9 hole course near the Ping river in the town, nice course, bit of history there and some mature trees ! Very easy to get to if your staying in town. Lanna course is also in easy striking distance of the town and a nice established course. Chaing Mai - Lamphun GC is getting on for 15 years old, very natural course set in its own vally. Green valley, modern style course, well laid out, nice club house. Mae Jo, only 9 holes opened last year when i played it last year but shows lots of promise, hopefully all 18 will be open when we get there in July. I have played these 4 courses in the CM area, all worth a visit and I'm sure the other courses will be just as good. If you need lessons you could probably arrange some at one of the driving ranges as an option. Try a post in the CM forum, might get some more local info. Best thing is to go to the driving ranges / clubs and see what they have on offer. One tip, never take a lesson out onto the golf course, spend the time to practice what you have been taught on the driving range / practice ground, then get out onto the course. pichai
Lanna Golf Club has a driving range at Mae Rim (near the city) and I believe there are some professionals available. You could go for a round of golf if you want after you finish practising in the range. The nearest hotel would be Noveltel in Chang Puek. Happy golfing.
