But I Thought We Weren't Supposed To Write Down Our Passwords?

Featured Replies

I have to admit that all my passwords are in a card index on my computer,

but it is inside a BestCrypt container. :)

I have different passwords but I don't write it down. I relate my password for every email account or service. For example, lets say my hotmail account, I can make it 12345fire because its hotmail or if its Yahoo then I can make it 12345fun. Those are just example but my passwords are similar to those.

Same here except I use TrueCrypt.

KeePass Password Safe inside a TrueCrypt container.

I still don't recommend writing down passwords, the card if stolen would be too obvious.

My suggestion would be to use a number/word combination that you use in everyday life. for example you can use "mom's name+birthdate+ID number+passport no.+highschool" name etc. Use information you already have memorized and few people know about, all you have to memorize is the combination or you can write down the combination on a notecard *only the info type, not the actual password * and only you will know the answers to every question
