PATTAYA:-- A severely intoxicated Australian man has been assaulted and stabbed early on Saturday morning in Pattaya. The incident occurred after an altercation with a fellow group of foreigners turned violent whilst they were all enjoying a night out in the popular Soi 6, Second Road area of Pattaya.

"At the scene, police were confronted by Mr. Anthony Gayunld (surname unconfirmed) [29] an Australian national, believed to have been in Pattaya on holiday. Mr. Gayunld was suffering from several severe lacerations to his back and head after having had an altercation with a fellow group of tourists, unknown nationalities. Rescue personnel immediately rendered first aid to Mr. Gayunld after his refusal to visit the hospital."
