Apartment Contents Insurance

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good company that can cover the contents of a rented apartment in Thailand. I've got a lot of stuff now so I should get it covered.

thanks

There's a concern in Hua Hin that has renter's insurance

up to 500,000 baht of insurance for about 1,300 per year. I don't know what it is above 500,000.

Call 032 547 514 to ask if they work with anyone in your area

The insurance providers that they work with are Aviva and AIG SE Asia. (Although Aviva has recently sold most of their Asian operations.)

You can try AIG in Bangkok here

You can find a general list of insurance providers here

Hope it helps.

Royal & Sun Alliance .

Agree with Astral, Royal and Sun Alliance, all done via their website. Just renewed with them.

Thanks for the info.

I got a quote online from Royal and Sun Alliance. For 2m baht contents plus 1m baht personal effects (outside apartment) the quote totalled 15,000 baht (7k contents plus 7k personal effects), which I thought was reasonable. Unfortunately my apartment is also my business's registered office and a lot of my gear is used for business reasons, so I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay more. I've emailed bothy Royal and Sun Alliance and AIG for quotes.

Thanks again for the tips.
