Compile Your Own Soundtrack

Featured Replies

The brief:

You have fifteen tracks to put on a cd which have to reflect your last twelve months in Thailand.

You have a compilation of your favourite Thai music but this will be a compilation of the farang music you have enjoyed the most in recent months and it is the music that you chose at the time as a soundtrack to your life, not your top fifteen tracks of all time neither your desert island compilation.

Here's my fifteen...

FOOLS GARDEN - Lemon Tree

MORRISSEY - The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores

SMASHMOUTH - Holiday In My Head

DAVID BOWIE - Oh You Pretty Things!

AIR - Alpha Beta Gaga

THE VAPOURS - Turning Japanese

JET - Lazy Gun

FATBOY SLIM - The Journey

FRANZ FERDINAND - Matinee

TERRY JACKS - Seasons In The Sun

BECK - Deadweight

SUPERTRAMP - Goodbye Stranger

CHUMBAWAMBA - We Don’t Go To God’s House Anymore

SCISSOR SISTERS - Better Luck

JAMIE CALLUM - Wind Cries Mary

Obviously you don't have to choose overplayed songs that remind you of certain memories but you have to choose your tracklisting as if it were a selection to be played to the public on a radio show.

Try to resist the temptation of compiling a list that reflects your favourite artists for the sake of showing fellow members how versatile your record collection is and concentrate on what was available at the time.

I have missed out a Nancy Sinatra track because I don't know the proper title, and for the same reason I can't do my Thai list because I'm not clever enough.

I have to go now, I've things to be getting on with but I'll pop by later to see how you're all getting on. :o

Too many instructions. How about Simon and Garfunkle, The Sounds of Silence. Or How about Warren Zevon, Exciteable Boy....I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. How about Bob Dylan, Maggie's Farm. And this ones just for you Bob Dylan, Rainey Day Woman.
