I was never going to say this on any forum for fear of everyone going in that direction.

But Now I can never get a seat because the crowd waiting at the door makes the place look like they are serving for free.

Last time I managed to get myself and teerak seated, it took ages to be served. The management must be quite happy as the place is now quite a hit.

The different sorts of cheese , bread varieties, my favorite Italian dishes, and the largest selection of wines and foreign beers in any restaurant (except at that sala deng place) that I have seen. Did I mention the beautiful ladies that bring you your needs?

I am angry because I drive far distances and meet this crowd of people that come from no where.I have been going there before the complex was even finished an it was ok, I could always find the outside seating. Now, office crowds, tens of them jam the place up.

Its the Italian resto, on the ground floor of The Village' the new complex behind the carefour on Rama 4, or at the end of sukhumvit 28.

Now you guys can also join the rush and make everyone else miserable, tell your friends and enemies too.

And if you are the driver of the red Ferrari that can not put his rear wheel on the parking bump and leave front end scaring other motorists from easily sliding in next to it, it might be scratched a bit next time, I had to help some girl extricate her Merc beside you.

The fruit and vegetable mart next to it will make foodland look like a mini 7-11.

The complex is called K Village and it is on Sukhumvit Soi 26.

The fruit and veg market is just a Gourmet Market, same as the one in Emporium.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit but have a review of the market that was mentioned.

Appearance, very nice, bright.

However, one will soon discover one really annoying fact about this place...you have to pay at each little counter you visit within the store.

Yes, you got it, in today's pay with credit card / collect points etc, if you want to buy one orange, one bread, one pack of eggs and so on and so forth you have to pay for them separately at different counters = multiply the number of transactions and time required.

When I asked why do they do it this way, I was told we wanted to make it the same as visiting a fresh market in the west.

I said, ok but in the west, each little stall is not owned by the same company and I am not going to stand at 10 different cashiers to pay for my goods.

Sorry, same products etc as Emporium without access to BTS or the fact that you can pay on one bill. May be convenient for those living very near by but I would not make a special trip.

There is a very good French/Italian restaurant in Chiang Mai with very reasonable prices that some maniac kept pushing every day on Thai Visa and now it is very difficult to get a table. I understand your pain. :)
