Re-entry Visa Suan Plu (sathorn)

Hi guys,

Just a quick question:

Would anyone know if Suan Plu is open this morning for re-entry visa?

Alternatively, has anyone a phone number I could call to find out myself?

I saw a recent post claiming re-entry permits can be gotten on saturday mornings at the old immigration office at Suan Plu. Don't forget to bring the pic's and stay safe.

You can always call 1111 (government information line) to check.

Open at Immigration Bureau (SuanPlu , Sathorn Road, Bangkok) only on May, 14 2010 and re-open at Chamchuri Square Building on May, 17 2010

Just saw this a little while ago.

My question is about renewing visa and work permit next week: Is Chamchuri Sq closed? Hopefully Cheangwattana is not. What about the Department of Employment? It's very close to the conflict zone in Din Daeng.

However, Suan Phlu. is very close to active fighting and I would not recommend travel there - most access roads are closed off and vehicle may come under fire.

The Ministry of Employment is not near the conflict zone, it is off the main roads in Dindaeng

Din Dang at expressway has been a battle area with troops being attacked yesterday and expressway blocked today. Central Bangkok is not safe at this time.

Arguing again for getting a Re-Entry Permit at the same time you get an extension of your Non-O visa. Precludes trying to get one on a Saturday if you suddenly need to travel, or if there's shooting downtown.
