thaigerd
Just had an idea for some nice food to cook for our dinner tonight: It's called Schaschlik in Germany. After shopping and coming home my old problem: As usual far too much food for two of us Schaschlik is pork meat(from the neck) on a skewer with onions, peppers, bacon and some people like kidneys as well, not me. Prefried in a pan(I love that smell), add some ketchup and curry powder, let's simmer for about one hour until tender or the meat nearly falls of. It will be served with french fries:

zaphodbeeblebrox
That looks fantastic. German food sometimes gets such a bad rap. Almost looks like shish kebabs when you prepare the skewers, but this is something completely different. I will definitely give this recipe a go. BTW - I also cannot cook for just 2. When you're cooking good food like that, the more the better. Well done!
