More Bloodshed In Bangkok As Red Siege Continues

I wonder if that plane flying over the illegal violent red mob who are holding hostage billions of dollars in private and public property is seeding the clouds?

It has been threatening to rain all day were I am but have only seen a drizzle here and there.

Probably not seeding though unless the winds are really low since I think it takes 30-minutes to work (if at all) and they would need to do it 30-minutes up wind.

Check the Forum updates for Mon. It was dropping leaflets.

wife just had me in laughter

she says drop ping pong bombs

and teil the redshirts they are from a local bar beer that wants to be a sponser

you get 100 baht for every one you turn in

Tell the wife I stole her joke and just used it on my GF who really thought it was funny .. especially considering I took her to Soi Cowboy for the first time a few weeks back and she was hysterical seeing the girls fight over ping pong balls. Funny about Thai girls is it took me more than a year to even get her to go close to there but she has no problem with always suggesting we go see the ping pong 'show" in Patpong which we have still yet to do. I had a hard enough time getting over seeing a baby come out of one of those let alone seeing one spit ping pong balls and smoke.

pornsasi

First they are not terrorists

Second they dont have machine guns .

Third if they had machine guns you would see tens of soldiers killed

Please dont alter the truth . Thank you

PS : Or if they have machine guns they dont use them , which comes to the same

as not having them

Ah well, we have nothing to fear from the Red Shirt Brigade do we, unlimited arson is totally acceptable and harmless to you pornsasi ?

I dont think you have anything to fear from them , but dont go near them

you could catch a bullet from the other side .

Anyway I thought we were talking bout machine gun , not the burning of old tyres .

But maybe am dreamin

Okay, I fell for it and had to check the link ... says the boy is still alive. Should we believe that too?

JC, before people die they are still alive.

the poor boy was shot in the abdomen, suffered for a while, then died. normally, people dont find this a confusing concept.

maybe you find this also confusing because you have been such a strident voice calling here for violence for so long, all the time promising that only the guilty would suffer?

this poor little boy has really upended your world, hasnt he?

suggestion go to the temple and light a joss stick for him, JC. maybe you can get some of your blood thirsty brethern from TV to go with you. you got to start somewhere.

oh yea, and make real sure you dont get hit by a sniper, JC. if innocets can suffer, imagine what could happen to you.

Take a look at this photo. Do these people look like criminals to you? Taken today.

What does a criminal look like? Mask over his eyes?

thaksin_shinawatra.jpg

a rapper?

boy, you sure do get around. very impressive. how do you do it- a new superhero - "EARTHPIG" LOL

the reality is the red movement has degenerated into a mob of violent cretins who are holding a country hostage. for what? a few baht and some excitement. if the red movement had the support that is in your head, there would be hundreds of thousands on the streets, not hundreds of drunken motorcycle taxi boys and a few para-military types firing rpg's at hotels.

Barely two months ago I first watched jubilant truckloads of red shirt "protesters" parade down Sukhumvit near my home... megaphones blaring, fists raised. Not many knew it at the time, at least I didn't but it was the beginning of the fight for Democracy, sic. The sight of so many red shirts in itself was not as unsettling as the vision I immediately had of what might be awaiting me on the streets outside my apartment.

Hoards, ok maybe not hoards but I envisioned perhaps small crowds here and there, trading anti-government slogans with the red shirts as they passed. At least someone, a few khon Thai along the parade route, visibly showing their solidarity with these, invaders. When I reached Sukhumvit I stood and stared as the convoys passed. There were people everywhere, but it seemed that I was the only one looking. Crappy color for a revolution I remember thinking.

A quick reckky around the neighborhood, revealed that beyond perhaps being able to turn a few heads as the trucks rumbled by, no one paid them any attention at all. There was no local support then and there is very little support now. No flag waving. No posters of T.S. on the phone poles. The mood has changed. That you can feel. There are a few who sport red colors, but a populist uprising it isn't. At least not yet, not here in my little corner of BKK.

So when I read this bit, "if the red movement had the support that is in your head, there would be hundreds of thousands on the streets, not hundreds of drunken motorcycle taxi boys and a few para-military types firing rpg's at hotels.", I realized that truer words were never spoken. Other elements of reason are lacking in the red movement, true dat, but perhaps none more so than the perception that the red movement somehow represents a majority or even a significant percentage of the population.

OMG, don't let me hear anyone talk about 'government crimes' after seeing this disgusting picture.

What was the parent of this child hoping for in doing this criminally insane act? It only takes one red guard to spot a media sensation in the making.

Those of you still supporting the reds, do you want a country that is led by people who would do something as irresponsible as this? What do you think they will care for you, if this is all they care for their own children?

post-102593-1274083014_thumb.jpg

I pray for whoever with a bit of reason and to go and beat the parents of this kid....And I mean beat the sh*t out of them......

The mentality is no different to the father and 4 family members (children) on a scooter without helmets on a busy, 8 lane highway, is it? :)

You see it every day in Thailand. :D

What I find confusing is your inability to state truths. You said the boy had been shot by a sniper and then provide an outdated story with factual mistakes such as the boy being in the van.

Even more confusing is you appear to enjoy arguing with yourself.

EDIT: I also made the mistake of reading more of your post ... please provide a link to where I called for violence or admit your stating another untruth.

Well that have about half an hour to get out of there... Yawn

Get out the candles to light in memory of the innocent women and children about to die. :)

cut the BS - anyone dies he or she has only to blame themselves and if any children die, the parents are to blame - walk out and live stay and face the chance of being shot simple as that so get the fuc_k out and go home - how much more is the government to do to help them ?

Candles to light in memory?

Why don't their dear leaders, the people they elected give them assistance? I forgot, they all fled as the cowards they really are and abandoned their people. Good work Phue Thai, you care about those who elected you.

Pheu Thai Party MPs rushed out of the party at 3 pm and closed the party head officer, leaving red-shirt people outside.

The MPs and officials at the party head office, which is located near Montien Hotel on Suriwonge Road, left the head office when a plane distributed copies of an order of the Centre for Resolution of Emergency Situation, urging the people to leave the protest zone.

Earlier, the party allowed red-shirt people to gather at the party if they could not join the protest at Rajprasong.

The MPs included party spokesman Prompong Nopprit and Bangkok MP Wicharn Minchainan.

The abrupt closure of the party's door caused the red-shirt people there to become dissatisfied. They complained that the MPs left women and children without caring about their safety.

No one takes you serious here until you have at least 6 months membership under your belt

that’s about 50-100 posts

That's an awful lot of posting. in 6 years I haven't got that many. Personally, I think that anyone that spends a lot of their time posting on internet forums(i.e 5 a day or more) needs some kind of counseling. Not counting Admin. and Mods.

I wonder how long a lot of you posters have been in Thailand and know the value(or lack of) of life. How many really know the way that Thai politics works. I find it depressing to read all these opinions by people who haven't really a clue about any of it.

As you are returning to my post I will answer

Member since 2005

posting nearly 700

why TV, because I get more information than reading the Bangkok posting every morning

I first came to Thailand in 2004 and worked here for 4 years teaching and learning Thai culture as part of my job

Have a thai wife and lived in Issan for 2 years

also have a child that can talk in both English and thai

My wifes best friend teaches Political Science in University

I am a devote Buddhist

I am now waiting for you reasons why you feel you are better at understanding Thailand than I do

I never said that I understand Thailand better than you but since you are awaiting, let's see - being the member of this forum for 5 years and having 700 posts is totally irrelevant - take a look at the Pattaya section.

Having worked in Thailand for 24 years (18 years in a university)certainly has helped me understand a few things. 2 kids that have finished school has taught me a lot about Thai culture. They speak 3 languages fluently which has nothing to do with anything. I have studied and practice Buddhism which does help to understand some things.

My wife of 22 years teaches sociology in a university so she helps. I won't bother to mention her friends and what they do as that is ridiculous.

You think you know it all but trust me fellow, I still don't know it all and knew nothing after 4 years.

Pig.

Do a little research on the circumstances of the boy's death.

It won't hurt you to do a little fact finding, or are you totally incompetent? :D

Do you know how to use the 'search' button? :)

you may rest assured that all my comments are researched, often in person. in this case, here is my source:

"a boy approximately 10 years of age took a bullet to the stomach that ruptured his intestines."

http://www.bangkokrecorder.com/translated-...-old-kid-that-g

anything else i can do for you?

Yes.

Try harder, you are still incompetent & know nothing.

Good luck with your future research. :D

Pssst... the search buttons are at the header and footer of every page.

Each searches in a different way.

odd that most of those who don't support the red riot state they wish the reds would accept the govt offer and leave, thus avoiding more bloodshed. yet the red apologists keep supporting a "no surrender" position, which will only lead to more injury and possibly death on both sides. and now we have a red apologist hoping for the death of a forum member. nice example of red idea of democracy - agree with me or i hope you get shot.

Just now:

PM's Secretary-General Korbsak Sabhavasu made talked to Natthawut Saikua over a phone at 4 pm, Thai News Agency reported.

Following the phone call, Natthawut held a meeting with other red-shirt leaders immediately.

Maybe a ceasefire in sight?

Cool it guys. I have been here eleven years and it is a never ending learning experience. Just when you think you know how your wife or friends think they suprise you.

It matters not how long we stay we still don't know much compared to people born and raised here. Be that as it may, it is still the country of choice in my opinion.

Funny, most of the red supporters I've seen here have been asking for both sides to stop shooting, yet many others here have called for the government to use more force and to basically kill everyone and clean up.

Agreed. So they win, you think they will be satisfied with a "free and fair" election? This is a revolutionary insurgency looking to completely topple all existing government structures in Thailand.

Well the only way to know is to have those elections .

Great idea, let's have those elections!

in 1.75 years when they are already scheduled.

That's also enough time to get this red mess out of the way.

If I was that baby girl, I'd be crying too.

Anyone who has hung around toddlers know they're sensitive to moods of others in the vicinity. The little kid hears the explosions, smells the rubber smoke, senses the crazy fear of the so-called adults around her. She knows the scenario is dangerous. It's certainly scary for her, but she can't leave by herself as she's being held. Whether the parent is smiling or not is immaterial.

It's not much different than the parent holding the kid on a speeding motorbike with one hand - thinking that one arm will keep the child safe in a crack-up. There may be genuine affection for the child, but affection doesn't account for zilch when a motorbike gets plowed in to by a truck, or when an errant bullet slams in to soft skull the size of a grapefruit.

Absolutely one of the most ignorant things somebody can try to claim is that the red mob people fighting the army are not armed.

I'd like to see evidence. All I see are stone throwers and slingshots.

Thanks in advance.

Then check this out

Let's hear from the unarmed red shirt brigade

Are those pictures from the last few days?

Many pictures from last year. A lot from earlier this year too from the weapons seized from the army when Thaicom was taken over. As far as I remember, the army said they were given back already. More false reporting from wannabe-journalists.

Not going to bother checking out your link but I bet it is safe to say it says nothing about a sniper (as you claimed) doing this. But please do us all a favor and get out there on the street and off your keyboard and gather some more first hand info.

Horrible father, decides to run a military checkpoint, which his son in the car, and gets his son shot. Father of the year candidate? Maybe in the Red Camp...

Jeeeezus, not another one.....

Driver drunk, alone, unrelated to woman & boy, who were in the background when troops opened fire on his tires when he refused to stop duh!

10 year old boy was warned many times by soldiers to leave the area & he refused. I hope his parents ***.

I agree, free elections, red people in Bangkok as peace breachers lose their civil rights as voters, the red mob now burning City Halls, blocking roads, browbeating their village people included. When you can guarantee this, I vote for you.
