Thai Troops Violate Law In Bangkok Action: Amnesty

You don't indiscriminately fire live ammo at unarmed civilians, and you don't declare city streets that are still inhabited by ciivilians as free fire zones.

Unless Abhisit realises the error of his ways, and sits down to talk serious compromise, he could end up joining the ranks of war criminals lined up for trial at the Hague.

The Thai military have already been warned about using this term but they continued. Abhisit will be going to the Hague along with his deputy and commander. I know many human rights lawyers already making preparations.

So you want the army to go in with riot shields and batons against these 99%, and ignore the soldiers getting shot by the 1%?

If the 99% don't support the 1%, then they should get out and let the army sort out the problem. If they stay, then they obviously support the violent 1% and are just there as human shields to stop the army coming in.

In reality, there are 3-4000 (if that many) peaceful protestors at Ratchaprasong, and another thousand or so attacking the army with grenades, guns, petrol bombs and more.

When Amnesty have some people on the ground here in Bangkok and witness at first hand what is going on then they might have some credibility.

The live fire zone has warning posted everywhere. as with other public warning signs, if you proceed then.........!!!

The army can put signs up and the govt can declare live fire zones anywhere to make life difficult for Bangkok residents, they have every right to shoot people going about their everyday business, Even where there was no problem. There is 2 ways to do things. And for the life of me I cannot understand that the leaders of the govt made the first mistake, now both sides are screwing it right up.

There is only one way out of this mess and that is international intervention, Stopping companies and innocent peoples financial transactions because they do not agree with you. How low can you go. Not allowing news media to report facts. Is this called suppression, for sure. Attacking innocent people and initially causing 26 deaths. The redshirt leaders are to join the judicial process, hey aussiebob how are the kangaroos down there. I don't agree with what the redshirts are doing either burning tires, blocking roads, ransacking, firing bullets etc. and I dont agree with what the yellow shirts did taking over and ransacking govt house, blocking airports, making it difficult for kids to go to school, blocking roads etc And the so called invisible hand. bombing phone boxes and killing 5 people when the reds were in power and now bombing indiscrimantly and trying to blame the reds, and assasinating opposition members as well as The General with the bal_ls to stand like a man, not run or hide like a few cowards are doing. The money is too important for the people at the top, lives are not. I just hope this can be resolved without further loss of life.

It may be important to remember 1989, when Romanias leader Ceauşescu was executed after using the security forces and regular army to kill civilians. It's a great tragedy for Thailand that this battle between the rich and the poor is escalating so perilously, but a sure sign of conviction that the red shirts stand ready to die in the face of such overwhelming force. Custer's last stand. Remember the Alamo?. This time will not be forgotten, and is clearly drawing everyone into their own personal ideological camp of right vs left. Perhaps this ideological battle actually extends far beyond these borders. Personally, a Louis Vuitton type and side with compassion and restraint at all times. Thai rak Thai.

It is very simple. Hands on your head and leave the protest zone. How difficult is that to understand? Its common sense, you don't even need any form of education for that.

If you want to cease fire, show some initiative yourself, instead of making countless demands.
