I thought He was not to go to England, Does he have a waiver????

paris to london, the west doesn't give any interest to the actual thai gouvernmet for a simple reason ,the present minister of foreign affairs of thailand was with the yellow shirts rioters who shut down the airport and was supporting them .

Takkie Shinegera , he has a new passport in different names if the gossip is true , he has one from Montenegro as a citizen which gives him EU access.

dont know how he could fly his one plane there , surely thats in the database,

Cant see the connection between Montenegro and EU,freedom of movement is for EEC Country residents, a Tin pot

Montenegro Passport is unlikely to give him access to EEC Countries, without a Visa of the Country wishing to visit.

Perhaps this blog will get deleted by admin but this is the network of corruption attached to Thaksin. I hope it is read by all to understand the far reaching affects and how certain businesses remained untouched in Thailand when the mayhem died down. This will provide that answer. Similarly, I will never again buy fuel from PTT, have any financial dealing or support through my patronage, of any of these businesses. I have changed my phone provider today and will hope that all who read this, in our small way, will make a conscious decision to ban any future dealings with these people - for the sake of my family and our future here in Thailand. Wow......u have blown my cotton sox off....I knew he had a lot of fingers in many pies but not all of these.....like you I will avoid spending any money at any of these interests but alas I think we will be in the minority

I remember the PPT float.....what a scam/rort !!!! No one but his associates were allotted shares...I tried to buy some for my Thai family and of coarse got nil....the day it opened on the SET if memory serves me right it opened at 100% above float value...amazing when u now drive through Thailand how few other opposition gas stations there are now whereas before there were many...there are many things about this meglomaniac that a lot of the posters dont know about this common crook....remember the cow scandal...every villager was to get a cow...the cost of a cow went up 300-400% overnight...all of the phu yai baan in red country made a fortune selling the poor people cows and who are now still in debt because of it...if not in debt they have lost their land etc etc to Thaksin's...the man is a rotten despot....but I do give some credit...he had fantastic PR

"I fully reject the allegations which underscore the fact that this heroic and inspiring grassroots movement is autonomous and independent from myself," he said

This is a double negative and as such fully implicates the man by his own words.

QED.

As Thitinan in the Guardian said Thaksin needs to make a sacrifice by withdrawing from the red movement.

How, pray tell, could Thaksin withdraw from the Red movement? How could Thaksin make a pledge about anything? Everything he declares turns out to be lies. If he declared he knew how to ride a bicycle, I wouldn't believe him. Look at the record of his public declarations, and let us know whether ANY of them turned out to be true.

nice speech, he is a real man , he kept his word, at least in a coutry where it's rare to do so .

Maybe you're saying that tongue-in-cheek as in 'he kept his word' about burning Thailand.

But in reality, he's not keeping his word about 'taking responsibility.' He, like all the other Red shirts in jail, will squirm so much as to make worms jealous, while trying to weezle out of any responsibility for the problems they actively fomented.

So all the recent Pravda articles that Thaksin is dead were wrong then?

And how can he go to London, given that his UK visa was revoked?

doesn't need a visa with a Montenegro passport ; just needs this valid passport for 6 months stay in Schengen territory " as long as he has enough money to sustain his family (official rule)"

Good retort. It's like a Zen koan. However, if you're a Thaksin watcher, you'll notice he never apologizes for anything. Never takes responsibility. The most he's ever done in the dept, was say it was 'an honest mistake' when caught hiding tens of millions of baht in the accounts of his housemaid and chauffeur - though even that statement was an obvious lie. How likely is it that a mega rich person would mistakenly put tens of millions of baht in to his service peoples' personal accounts?

While he was first in power, he claimed his wife made all the important decisions (really, I thought he was elected PM, not his wife), then later, he would say he was the CEO PM, so he made all the decisions. When Krue Seh happened on his watch (Muslim demonstrators murdered in the South) Thaksin declared from that point on, he would be personally in charge of any insurgent problem in the south. A bit later, while T was still PM, there was the even higher # of demonstrator deaths at Tak Bai. Did T take any responsibility? Ha ha, of course not.

yeah, next it was a figure of speech or a quote from someone obscure in history. I'm sure sooner or later, he'll get sorted out. Ol' Thaksin never really got away, looks over his shoulder, lives in misery, developed cancer and has rapidly aged. For some, remaining alive is the most suitable punishment.

The Red Shirts and their political wing the Pheu Thai Party should be encouraged to explain the funding of their movement and where and to whom the money has gone. Furthermore the Yellow Shirts should also open their books to explain where their money came from otherwise there will be continued speculation as the the sources and recipients of the no doubt huge sums of money spent by both parties. In both cases - don't hold your breathe for any statements let alone honest responses.

I meet people like that everyday

Never admit a mistake

Never admit they are wrong

Never apologises for anything

Normally they are in a position of responsibility they have paid for but instead of being a billionaire, they are shuffling papers in a government office, have enormously large hair, horn rimmed spectacles and look down their nose at every one.

You have described the tin pot dictator pooyai to a tee.

neither are

Montenegro is on schengen's " white list" ; UK is a " cooperative country" to the schengen agreement, ie they do on a case by case grant access or not to countries ; the fact is Thaksin may travel to France and UK with a montenegro passport, no visa.

seeWiki for details, there's the case of Ireland that's interesting as well , and Nordic countries .

Those who have called the red leaders liers need to rethink, this week they have proved they can tell the truth:

As has been pointed out they promised to burn and that happened.

They promised to hand themselves in and they did, a little late perhaps and needed a bit of encouragment.

They promised to run at the army with bare hands, yep they did that, didnt say they would have their hands in the air but thats a minor detail,

Cant think of anything else though,

There are no words. Except maybe now there should be a coup, if this the best the govt can do.
