National Research Council plans to revive Pattaya

PATTAYA:-- On Tuesday Afternoon at the Diana Garden Resort in North Pattaya, Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya, chaired a meeting hosted by the Office of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) who would like to conduct a survey of the Tourism Industry here in Pattaya and related industries. The purpose of the research is to assist the Pattaya Administration in formulating a plan to revive the Industry which has been affected by the Bangkok Riots.

Crikey, how many times I have seen this over the years. Pattaya has almost 'died' a few times now. Supposedly.

Should Taksin return and turn the Nth & Nth East of the country into the Social Utopia the Reds Shirts believe it will be, maybe then Pattaya may well find itself on the critical list.

As all those young honey's will stay at home in the Province, gainfully employed and affluent, at last.

Of course I am being cynical, everyone knows you go for the beach.

I think they need new blood,new ideas & a systematic long term plan of where they want to be !
