Thanyaburi Mac
Get a tourist visa in Vientiane, two entry, with extensions would give six months! Mac
Mario2008
There is no such rule that limits the number of entries and there is no fine for extra entries. If they were to fine you I don't think you will get an official receipt for paying the "fine".
lopburi3
As for number of entries there is no set limit but any office can refuse at any time and at four strong suspensions are raised. So if they have told you not to come there again suspect it would be a good idea to avoid. As to what you should do the obvious answer is determined by your reason for being here. If a tourist a tourist visa would be logical. If working a work permit and non immigrant visa. If a student an education visa.
Sunbelt Asia
As noted, it makes little sense -- either legally or financially -- to continue doing what you are doing. If you were paying 500 baht every two weeks for a visa run then that's 6,000 baht over six months. For only a small bit more you could travel to Vientiane, Laos and obtain a double-entry Tourist Visa. You would have to pay 3,800 baht for the two extensions needed to maximize the 6-month potential of the Tourist Visa, but consider you won't have to 12 days of your life making visa runs as you would now. From a legal standpoint, rules concerning number of consecutive visa runs and total days spent in the Kingdom on visa exemptions change repeatedly. As you've seen, you also are subject to the discretion of the immigration officer you meet who could easily determine you are abusing the visa exemption process and refuse you and even order you to leave the Kingdom within seven days.
