Chalerm Yoovidhya

The Yoovidhya family, co-owners of Red Bull, have clinched the top spot as Thailand’s richest. Their immense net worth soared, highlighting the country's ever-evolving wealth landscape.

Here’s a look at the leading companies from Forbes’ recent list.

Chalerm Yoovidhya

Net Worth: $44.5 billion (1.44 trillion baht)
Industry: Beverages

Chearavanont Brothers

Net Worth: $35.7 billion (1.15 trillion baht)
Industry: Conglomerate

Sarath Ratanavadi

Net Worth: $12 billion (389 billion baht)
Industry: Energy and Telecom

Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi

Net Worth: $10.5 billion (340 billion baht)
Industry: Beverages and Real Estate

Chirathivat Family

Net Worth: $8.6 billion (278 billion baht)
Industry: Retail

In total, Forbes reported a significant 11% increase in the combined wealth of Thailand's 50 richest families, reaching a staggering $170.5 billion (5.51 trillion baht). Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra ranks 11th on the list with $2.1 billion (68 billion baht).

Despite the impressive figures, challenges remain. Renewable energy leader Somphote Ahunai dropped from the ranks after legal issues and a drastic plunge in company shares. His exclusion underscores the volatility and rapid shifts among the wealthiest Thais, showcasing resilience and adaptability.

I am sure the old man I helped today who was shuffling along with two broomsticks for crutches, carrying three rice sacks of bottles and cans will be over the moon for them.

The funny thing is that you can take all their wealth, remove them from their businesses and give all the money to the poor.

Guess what would happen within 3 years.  The poor will be poor and these families will have it all back.

I'd suffer pretty damn well for 3 yrs with 1.4 trillion to play with !

Goes to show wealth doesn't maketh the man,

I can't imagine how inaccurate these numbers are. When I worked for one of those billionaires we never, ever, provided wealth statistics to journalists.

Red Bull "gives you things" (other people don't have)

I contributed to his wealth , with every 8.5 B/ bottle red bull I drink.

I like the taste of that poison.

Hence "Boss" is still "on the run" from the law! :cheesy:

He is not running.

The source of Krating Daeng envelopes to keep the next generation out of trouble? Just wondering and asking for a friend 😉

Mind-blowing that a guy can mix together some ingredients for a drink, and get that rich.

People tend to forget about the ball players. 40,000,000 a. month and upwards.

We all pay to drink red bull, beer, coke, and watch the sports.

No one thinks about "The Man/Woman" at the top of the tree.

I wish I had mixed together the ingredients for red bull. I certainly would not be complaining. Would you?

The number 1 reason people hate the rich is, they are not one of them.
