Thai Certificate Of Identification

Featured Replies

Hi all

Due to bad admin my wife will be flying to thailand via malaysia this summer on one of these as her passport has expired. Im finding it hard to get any info from the Embassy on these . Has anyone seen / heard of these. id like to know a little more about them? espeaicaly how long there valid for as she will need at least 6 months, to be aloud to travel through malaysia?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Why can't your wife obtain a new passport at the Royal Thai Embassy in London?

I would expect such ID would only be valid for direct travel to Thailand (at least connecting flight) but do not have any knowledge of them.

Contact the airline. if she doesn't go through immirgation in malaysia, there should be no problem. A Thai can travel to Thailand on an exired passport, but not enter other countries.

If you say her papssort is expired and she will travel this summer, she can get a new passport from a Thai embassy. Believe it takes about 3 weeks.
