Ubon/sisaket To Hua Hin By Bus

Featured Replies

Is there a direct bus of any kind (the more VIP/Gold/Platinum the better) from Ubon/Sisaket to Hua Hin or do we have to change buses on the way?

If a change is necessary a change outside Bangkok would be best. Any experiences?

Thanks

Their is a direct busservice starting from Nakhom Rachasima (Korat) daily to Hua Hin

happy travels

Two medium length bus rides are likely to be more expensive than one long ride plus a shorter one and a short taxi ride.

The alternative to changing in Korat is to take the bus as normal to Bangkok (Mo Chit) and get a taxi to Victory Monument (20 minutes and less than 80 baht) for a van to Hua Hin (200 baht). The taxi driver should be able to drop you at the van stop for HH and they go every 30 minutes at least and no need for bookings - better than hanging around in Korat bus station for half a day if you mistime the changeover there. Not a good option though if you have a lot of luggage (or, as your posting suggests, you are squeamish about being in Bangkok).

Actually having now re-read the other posting I see that the Korat fare to HH is only 383 baht. You are unlikely to save much money with my route then!

From Si Saket you can take the Nakonchai Air Bus to Bangkok for (if I remember right) 480 bht. It takes 7 hours and it is a non-stop. It leaves SiSaket at 0915 & 2115 everyday. It gets into Bangkok at 415 am & pm. Then for 1800 bht you can hire a taxi to take you to Hua Hin. Which takes 3 hours.
