Dario
5-30 pm.... Still most channels working... but for how much longer is anyone's guess I have only a small selection left. Many have gone already. I made a transponder scan this morning and - as I said - not much left.

That's alright mate pay up and go honest. Honest in Thailand? Edited May 31, 2010 by gotlost
Cromarty
gotlost, do you actually have DSTV and are able to contribute to this thread? It's just that you seem to post on any active thread going with usually innane twoddle. The sun is shinning out there you know, grab a cool drink and a good book and drag yourself away from ThaiVisa for a while. For what it's worth, I only have 1 sports channel, BBC E and BBC L and Mnet series left. Oh, and my card is a legitimate card, paid for in advance. So I stand to lose 7 months of subscription. The card wasn't cheap either. On another note, I've just had Telkon installed. I may post a serperate thread about it.

Shame about your lost 7 months, maybe your 'honest John' provider will give you a refund!. Stupid thought! What do Telkon offer, anything similar to Multichoice? Couldn't see much apart from Telecommunication services when I searched. Agree with you about gotlost, must be great to have such a high post count. ignis
What do Telkon offer TelkomVision © Lyngemark Satellite, last updated 2010-05-29 - http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/telkomvision.html Looks to me as if all now are the same price per year take your pick True Astro Telkom PM me if anyone has found something cheaper please
Cromarty
I've had Astro in the past and Telkom is pretty much identical. The big advantage for me is Ten sport which shows lots of cricket. But it doesn't come close to the football coverage of True. Obviously not as good as Multichoice, no BBC L or BBC E. I got a card for 9,000. Not cheap but cheaper than True. sas_cars
Multichoice is still online. Not dead. I think it's a great news for whole of Asia and wherever it's c band transmissions are covering

Prasert
I'm still receiving a signal from DStv. Although the screen doesn't show a picture, the decoding is fine, the receiver is showing the EPG information for all channels. Right now (still) working with sound+video: SuperSport 1 SuperSport 3 History Channel So it looks like the channels are still there, just the encryption has been changed. Looks like the same trick done by Telkomvision.

It does seem strange that they have left 3 channels open. Don't want to raise hopes but if they are closing the Sat down why hav'nt they done it? It's a puzzle... maybe someone has an explanation.. The encryption is still the same, but obviously with an extra gimmick. It looks like the same trick Telkomvision is using. DStv stated earlier that the signal would remain available for Asian cable tv providers. Since SuperSport has vanished from all Thai cable tv companies, one can conclude that they were pirating the signals. SS 5 and SS 6 are back now, also. Hopefully these channels will remain open, with a bit of luck I can watch the world championship on SS5 this sunday!
