shadiadi
Hi I have some land in my company name and I want to build some townhouses about 8 which is under the legal requirement to have to purchase a developers licence. Problem I am having is getting started this is how far I have got so far. I have the land I have an Architect who is drawing up plans that will be signed by a structural engineer. I know we have to submit the plans to the local tessaban but the tessaban are saying they want copies of the degrees of the construction people? We were actually going to use one of my Uncle and his collegues all who have been building for years but i didn't think anyone in Thailand had a degree for normal construction. Can anyone give me some advice?

trogers
Interesting. A proposed townhouse development (probably higher than a floor) to be sold to the public and designed and built by farmer Joe. What was the question?
SamuiHomemadeFood
Only in Thailand could you even consider doing something like this. Doesn't the fact that none of the CHEAP people you are using to design the houses you are going to sell have the proper qualifications bother you in the slightest ? We have a saying back in the UK " You pay peanuts ! You get monkeys " Just because they have been doing it for years doesn't mean they are the least bit qualified . The mind boggles!
