Work Permit For Set Up Business

I want to collect names and addressess from thai women to set up a dating/match m aking agency. how do i get a permit to go about such work.

I will be working for myself and prob no money made for a while, do you think i could get a work permit for that kind of work.

How do you propose that you will canvass these ladies? Advertise by internet or other? Forgive me for being blunt - but you might meet with a lot of scepticism with your brief, non-specific post.

You will need to offer far more in credibility before anyone will offer advice supporting the collection of names and addresses of the local women. Very easy to be misconstrued as not being genuine in your intentions, methinks.

Before anyone steps in and has a rant - my advice would be to put more thought in to your OP. If you cannot give some clear description of what you are doing and how it can be proved as credible, then you may not stand much chance of assistance.

I will try to say this without directing any attack on the person in question. About 4 years ago I went to the Philippines where I had my 1st taste of the good life, after discovering that there was really such thing as Paradise I just had to find a way of cashing in on it !

Yes, I wanted to do the exact thing as this guy, now I look back & what a complete are**whole I was by even thinking of doing this ! My friends to this day still like to remind me of my moment of madnes, very embarrasing ! The crazy thing thing is at the time I actually thought it was a great idea and that it was totally original. Wrong !

I know how this guy feels however, the chances are that once he becomes accostomed to what this place called paradise is really all about (as I have) he will proabably be looking back with the same embarrasment as I do !

Guys, dont attack him, the embarrasment alone will attack him for a very long time after !

Well thnx for your replies anyway, im not thinking of pimping.

Its a business idea me and a friend has who is traveling back to thailand in a week or two, hes been there a fair few times and believes there is a way of making money by setting up a service to thai women and foreign men looking for thai women.

I know you can go there yourself and find plenty of women yourself but this will be on a web site and advertised through national papers. Not all men want to travel there on the off chance, some like to set things up before they go, we will guide them through if you like.

I have been looking on other sites for information but would have liked some ideas in lay mans words. It looks as though we may have to form a company in thailand but didnt want to do that. wanted to form company in uk and sort taxes our end. as work will have to be mostly done in the uk.

I recall 10 years or so ago a certain Mr Bob N###son set up such a 'scam' and was run out of Thailand by the B.I.B???? I thinks he moved his operation to the Phil........could be wrong, the grey matter is not as good as it should be these days.

No i havnt been to thailand yet but im sure when we get this up and running i will be. I run my own company in the uk, a web based directory for UK tradesmen.

So i have plenty of experience on the web.

Im looking to do this legally or nor at all.

I certainly dont like the sound of the bangkok hilton or lower class prisons.

Maybe before the internet this would have been a viable idea, but these days there are so many free sites and chat rooms where a lonely guy in the UK can meet thai girls or others Russians, Brazilians, Phillipines etc who look for marrige.

What will make you so different that the guy will be prepared to fork out money for?

For a guy to purchase a mail order bride there must be something screwy with him in the first place. I recall reading about a guy in Australia who purchased Filipino wives and when he was done with them he would pass them among his friends until they tried to run away then he would murder them and get a new one. Does this seem to be a ethical business? I wonder how the agency owner felt as he cashed his introduction fee?

These business are set up to exploit not only the poor naive women who believe they will get a better life abroad, aswell as the poor lonely guy with no or little social skills who is conned into believing he can get a loving wife for a price.

Yet more than often its the evil element of society (psychos and crimms) which use these services to get women into prostitution, slavery and servitude.

Your friend is correct in his assessment of thailand there are many beautiful women who would want nothing more than a foreign husband but in many cases its the financial rewards rather than the love they seek.

In regards to a work permit- you will have to purchase the company structure and apply but I wouldnt be stating the business as a dating/ introduction agency if you wanted it to be approved.

I'd give it a bit more thinking before you outlay any monies to this type of enterprise.

At least visit and see it for yourself and get an understanding.

Thanks Bentley for posting what is the obvious truth with these sites. I didn't have the patience to state it, so thanks. The other obvious truth is this guy has no chance of success when his competition is in country with loads of experience in plying their trade.
