Hi all,

Has any body got recent waiting times/experience on applications, what with the closure of the embassy and turmoil in Bkk. submited wifes on the 5th of may 2010,no news yet. But had a intresting walk to regent house from Bts.

Thank you

The settlement visas I've heard being issued in the last week or two were applied for around the first half of April, so no need to panic just yet. :)

What was interesting about the walk?

My girl issued visa application for UK on 8th June. She was told

to allow 12 weeks. Just hoping it will be quicker then this.

It is hard to say because when she applied for a visitor visa my

girl was told to allow 3 - 4 weeks. We only waited 2 weeks.

Bangkok processed 84 settlement visa applications in April. All had been processed within 60 days. 44% within 30 days.

How many were rejected I can't say.

The temporary closure of the embassy will doubtless add a few days to OP wife's application

Allow 90 days.

Allow 90 days.

Service standard is to process 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks and 100% in 24 weeks.

During the first 3 months of this year Bangkok processed 94% within 30 days, 98% within 60 days, 100% within 90 days. Total processed 624.

In total 16332 visas (all types) were processed

I was trying to give heart to the OP.

Based on the number of days a civil servant works I calculate 90 days equates to 9 months :)

Allow 90 days if you tell your partner it will be 50 days she will then constantly never stop ringing you for the next 40 days :) .

Generally its 9/10 weeks but we got one back in 6 weeks recently but up to you :D .

So allow 90 days.
