On my daughter's school schedule, there are the expected subjects like Math, English, Thai, and so on, but there is also a subject called "ส.ป.ช."

What does ส.ป.ช. mean? Thank you.

Daughter can only say it stands for สร้างเสริมประสบการณ์ชีวิต (sang-soem-prasop-kan-chiwit), which could be translated, I guess, by building life experience. She says it's about history.

I asked a teacher and she says it was the name of a subject in the old curriculum, สร้างเสริมประสบกานณ์ชีวิด, as explained above. The subject was about science and social studies combined. In the current curriculum these two subjects are now taught separately as science วิทยาศาสตร์ and social studies สังคม. Maybe it is still current in some places.

Another translation for สปช. is สำนักงานประถมศึกษาแห่งชาติ which i think is the National Office of Primary (Level) Education.

I saw a Thai friend yesterday and he also said it stands for สร้างเสริมประสบการณ์ชีวิต and said it meant social studies. Putting สร้างเสริมประสบการณ์ชีวิต in Google translate returns "experience of life." She does have a couple English books that are titled "Life Experience", and a few Thai books that cover the same stuff. They include introductory science topics, so I guess this is the "old" curriculum. She's in Anuban 3, by the way.

Thanks for the help.
