Stop The World Cup Vuvuzela Horns

if only there were another thread already running on this topic.

Don't you know that plastic trumpets, mass produced in China, are part of South African culture?

I'd be pretty annoying if i was a traveling fan who had paid $100s for my tickets and the whole time i've got someone blowing a Vuvuzela in my ear for 90 minutes.

You can't even hear when a goal is scored, there is zero variation in the noise level. Personally it doesn't bother me that much, seeing as on Thai TV the sound is so out of wack; the background noise is way too low compared to the commentary volume.

What, you mean those that originated in S. America and didn't even reach S. Africa until the ''90s.

Shame they didn't use them more in Shaka Zulu

every fan i've heard interviewed on the radio who is out in south africa loves them and isn't bothered by them at matches, including a mate of mine who i've heard from over there.

i think there could be something in where the TV broadcasters have placed their microphones.
